Ever since Bill Cosby was determined guilty a month ago for sexually assaulting several women throughout his life, several awards companies are pulling the honors they have given him for his life's work in Hollywood.
Word is that now Cosby is losing his Kennedy Center Honors. This awarded is meant for entertainers that have dedicated their careers to enhancing American culture.
Via The Shade Room, the Kennedy Center said in a statement:
“The Honors and Mark Twain Prize are given to artists who, through their lifetime of work, have left an indelible impact on American culture. As a result of Mr. Cosby’s recent criminal conviction, the Board concluded that his actions have overshadowed the very career accomplishments these distinctions from the Kennedy Center intend to recognize.”
Not only has Cosby lost one of the highest honors for entertainment but, 'The Cosby Show' reruns been axed from several television networks, his honorary degrees revoked and he has been expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
