There has been four days of protesting happening in St. Louis, after the acquittal of former St. Louis Police Officer #JasonStockley, who murdered #AnthonyLamarSmith in 2011.
The town has been in chaos since, and as police officers snatch protestors up, they have created a chant themselves: “Whose Streets? Our Streets!”

Heather Taylor is the President of The Ethical Society of Police, who primarily represents black cops in the area, says the chant goes against the oath that officers take. The oath states that they “will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, political beliefs, aspirations, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions.”
She continues, “that chant goes against the very code of ethics we swore to abide by, whether we agree with demonstrations, protests, or acts of violence, it is our job to do our job free of personal bias.”
