R. Kelly Allegedly Runs a "Abusive Cult" of Women

2013 BET Experience - R. Kelly, New Edition and The Jacksons

Remember when singer R. Kelly was acquitted on 14 child porn counts in 2008? Well another story has come to light on the legend, and this time, he is alleged to be holding women against their will in a "cult"?

The allegations come from parents as they describe their daughters as being "brainwashed"!

Apparently Kelly has been taking in desperate singers hoping to launch their careers, and making their reside in his Atlanta and Chicago properties. Former members of his "inner circle" say that he "controls every aspect" of their lives, and if rules are broken, he will punish them physically and verbally.

"R. Kelly is the sweetest person you will ever want to meet," Asante McGee, one of the former inner circle members, said. "But Robert is the devil."

According to Complex

"It is interesting that stories and tales debunked many years ago turn up when his goal is to stop the violence; put down the guns; and embrace peace and love," lawyer Linda Mensch said. "I suppose that is the price of fame. Like all of us, Mr. Kelly deserves a personal life. Please respect that."
