Miami is remembering one of our legends today, Fresh Kid Ice, one of the founding members of rap group 2 Live Crew. He passed away today at age 53 from an unknown medical condition.
Christopher Wong Won, Ice's real name, formed 2 Live Crew in 1984 with DJ Mr. Mixx, Amazing Vee, amd Luther Campbell. The group went on to release hit after hit, making themselves a household name.
According to TMZ, they even became poster children for First Amendment Rights after their "As Nasty As They Wanna Be" album was the first to be labeled legally obscene by the government.
Wong Won is considered one of the first Asian rappers to make it big in the United States and will be remembered and missed!
