Judge Moves to Force Nicki Minaj to Sell Her Mansion

At a Nov. 24 hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Cindy Pánuco is considering taking steps to potentially force Nicki Minaj to sell her California mansion after she failed to pay a court-ordered judgment tied to a lawsuit involving her husband, Kenneth Petty, and a security guard he allegedly assaulted. Nicki reportedly owes about $500,000, and as of Monday, the judge requested financial statements from Bank of America to determine how much is still owed on her $13 million California estate, which has since appreciated to nearly $20 million.

The lawsuit stems from a 2019 concert in Frankfurt, Germany, where a former security guard, Thomas Weidenmüller, claims Petty assaulted him backstage — allegedly punching him in the face after a dispute involving Minaj and another guard. Weidenmüller suffered a broken jaw, multiple surgeries, and chronic injuries.

In 2024, a default judgment awarded Weidenmüller approximately $503,318 in damages. Yet as of now, the judgment allegedly remains unpaid.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Cindy Pánuco said she’s “tentatively” inclined to grant the request to force a sale.....contingent on receiving a final mortgage statement from Bank of America showing exactly how much of the home’s original $13.3 million loan has already been paid off.

There should be more than enough to satisfy the unpaid judgment, accrued interest, and enforcement costs. The next milestone is a follow-up hearing scheduled for January 22, 2026, when the judge is expected to review the outstanding bank documentation and potentially finalize the order.
