Diddy Appeal Approved

Today Monday Nov. 3, a judge approved Sean “Diddy” Combs’ request to fast-track his appeal; a move his legal team says is critical to keeping his case meaningful. Diddy must file his opening brief and appendix by December 23, 2025.

The government’s response is due February 20, 2026. His reply brief is due March 13, 2026. If everything stays on track, oral arguments could begin as early as April 2026

Diddy was convicted on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution under the Mann Act during a trial this past summer, and was later sentenced to 50 months in prison.

His team argues that without the expedited schedule, the normal appeal process (which often takes 18 months or more in the Second Circuit) he could serve most of his sentence before the court even hears his case.
