Update: Julio Foolio Murder Case

A major development has emerged in the murder case of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio. Jury selection began yesterday in Hillsborough County for Alicia Andrews; the only female suspect charged in connection with the high-profile killing.

Andrews and her boyfriend are facing charges of first-degree premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder, stemming from the June 2024 ambush in Tampa that left Foolio (real name Charles Jones) dead. Prosecutors allege the couple played a key role in orchestrating the setup, accusing them of tracking Foolio's movements and sharing his location with the individuals who ultimately carried out the fatal shooting.

Andrews is one of five people arrested in the case, and one of four charged with murder. Three male suspects have also been indicted for their alleged involvement in what authorities say was a calculated and premeditated hit.

Foolio, 26, was reportedly celebrating his birthday in Tampa before being gunned down at a local hotel after posting his whereabouts on social media. A detail that may play a key role in the prosecution's narrative.

This trial marks a critical point in the ongoing investigation, and all eyes are now on the courtroom as Andrews becomes the first of the accused to face a jury.
