Yung Miami Calls Out Tyla Over Alleged Song Theft

Things got heated on social media when Yung Miami of City Girls took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse South African star Tyla of allegedly copying her unreleased track. While the title of the song hasn’t been confirmed, fans are speculating it’s called “Chanel” based on the snippet Miami posted; where she chants, “Take me to Chanel.”

According to Yung Miami, she previewed the track for Tyla prior to its release. Fast forward, Tyla has a song where she sings “Put me in Chanel,” prompting fans and Miami herself to call out the similarities.

“I played that song for you,” Miami tweeted, making it clear she felt the record was lifted. Tyla hasn’t publicly responded to the accusations yet, but the internet is already weighing in—some defending Miami's claim, others pointing out that “Chanel” references are common in music.

Check out what Yung Miami was posting below on the alleged song jacking.

Tyla, best known for her global hit “Water,” has been riding high off her Grammy win and international success. Whether this turns into a full-blown music beef or simply a case of creative coincidence remains to be seen.
