Offset spoke on the powerful moment that made him quit codeine for good.
The Migos rapper shared a heartfelt story involving his oldest son that changed everything..... While sipping on a Pineapple Fanta laced with codeine, his son noticed something was off and asked why his dad’s drink looked different from his own; and that he wanted the same one. That moment hit Offset hard.
“I went to my room in shame,” he told Keke. “I realized I was being a bad influence right in front of him.”
Offset also spoke on the tough conversations he had with his mother, who would often call and urge him to “get off that stuff,” referring to his codeine use. He admitted the path to quitting wasn’t easy, but it started with those personal wake-up calls.
