This past Sunday, Miami legends Trick Daddy and Trina were each awarded honorary doctorate degrees from Leaders Esteem Christian Bible University, recognizing their undeniable influence on hip-hop and their cultural contributions to the South Florida community.
Held right here in Miami, the ceremony celebrated both artists not just for their decades-long music careers, but also for their impact on the culture, their dedication to their roots, and their influence on generations of fans and artists alike.
With classic hits like “Nann” and “Take It to Da House,” the duo helped define the sound of Miami hip-hop in the late '90s and early 2000s. Their legacy continues to inspire, and this honor highlights their evolution from rap pioneers to respected community figures.
