Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, have been ordered to pay $40,000 in restitution to one of their fraud victims, following their involvement in a $1 million luxury goods scam. A judge ruled that payments of $500 must begin immediately, with Kingston required to pay 10% of his monthly gross income once released from prison until the balance is paid in full.
Kingston, best known for hits like “Beautiful Girls”, was sentenced to three and a half years behind bars. His mother received a five-year sentence after being labeled the mastermind behind the operation. Authorities say the pair used Kingston’s celebrity status to pose as high-profile clients, defrauding luxury retailers and companies out of merchandise and services.

The elaborate scheme involved acquiring high-end goods without payment by leveraging Kingston's fame, then disappearing without settling debts—ultimately racking up nearly $1 million in fraudulent charges.
