Meek Mill Seeks $5 Million Investment to ...

Meek Mill is making major independent moves and looking for serious backing. The Dreamchasers founder recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal he's seeking a $5 million investment to fund a slate of upcoming projects, including a new album, a short film, and a book.

This comes after Meek officially parted ways with Roc Nation earlier this summer, choosing to operate as a fully independent artist. Now, he’s questioning why artists in hip-hop can’t secure funding with the same confidence and capital that tech startups often receive. Why is it hard to secure funding in the rap game.

........“Why don't we get the same type of investments they give to tech companies?” Meek asked on X.

Meek's ask isn’t just about music; it’s about changing the business model for rappers who want to own their art and tell their stories on their own terms. With independence comes both freedom and responsibility, and Meek seems ready to bet on himself.

As the industry shifts and more artists go indie, this could mark another step toward hip-hop redefining its relationship with power, capital, and creative control.

Do you think Meek Mill will lock in that $5 million investment?
