A federal judge has officially set October 3 as the date when music mogul, Diddy will learn his fate following his conviction on two counts related to transporting male prostitutes across state lines for sex — a serious federal offense.
Diddy, who has been in custody for nearly a year, will remain behind bars until sentencing. Legal experts say the time he's already served will likely factor into the final judgment. However, the debate is heating up between prosecutors and the defense over where the sentencing guidelines should start.
The prosecution is pushing for a starting point of 51 months (just over 4 years), citing the severity and pattern of the charges. Meanwhile, Diddy’s defense team argues for a lighter sentence starting at 21 months, pointing to time served and a lack of prior convictions.

While the court has yet to decide on the exact length of the sentence, Diddy faces a statutory maximum of 20 years in federal prison. His legal team is expected to push for leniency, but with the federal government taking a firm stance, the outcome remains uncertain.
As October 3 approaches, all eyes are on the courtroom to see how justice will be served and what the future holds for one of hip-hop’s most influential figures.
