Detroit Rapper Sues LYFT

Detroit rapper,Dajua Blanding, known by name Dank Demoss, is taking legal action against an LFYT driver after being denied a ride because of her weight. The driver reportedly refused to give her a lift, citing that she wouldn’t fit in his vehicle due to her 489-pound frame. But Biggie Baby is not letting this slide. She’s filed a lawsuit, claiming that the driver's actions violated Michigan’s anti-discrimination laws, which protect weight as a characteristic.

According to Biggie Baby, the driver’s refusal was not just about physical space, but a clear violation of her rights under state law. The rapper isn’t backing down, using the legal system to make sure this type of discrimination doesn’t go unnoticed.

The driver, Abraham, defended his actions by citing concerns over his car’s tires and a previous incident with a passenger who had difficulty fitting into his vehicle. However, Demos legal team is not having it, arguing that these reasons don’t hold weight (pun intended) when it comes to respecting passengers' rights.

This case is highlighting a growing issue in the ride-share world, where passengers may face discrimination based on their size, something many people aren’t aware can be illegal in certain places. Whether or not Demoss wins, this lawsuit is definitely shining a light on the importance of recognizing and protecting passenger rights.
