YNW Melly Set With New Double Murder Retrial Date

YNW Melly has been behind bars since 2019 for the alleged double murder of YNW Juvy and YNW SakChaser. YNW Melly was accused of making the murders look like a drive- by shooting. Forensic study of the crime scene and a testimony concluded that the bullets came from inside the vehicle the group of then friends rode in. Not from the outside as it was portrayed to be.

The original trail ended in a mistrial after three days of deliberation the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict.

Melly appeared in court on Tuesday (Aug 22) for a status hearing. At this time the new retrial date is scheduled to begin in September of 2025. Melly will remain in custody .
