Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan was found unresponsive in his home. Investigators have released a new incident report regarding Rich Homie Quan's death, shedding light on additional details from the day he passed away. According to the report, Rich Homie Quan’s brother discovered the rapper sleeping on the floor around 3 a.m. While he suspected something was wrong, he did not call for emergency help.
An officer remarked in the report, “[He] mentioned that it was unusual because there was food in his mouth. He then lifted him up and placed him on the sofa.”
Rich Homie Quan’s girlfriend woke up around 6:45 a.m. and noticed he wasn’t in their bedroom. While getting their kids ready for school, she found him sleeping on the sofa. After dropping the kids off at school, she returned home and saw that he was still asleep. She went back to bed but woke up again around 11 a.m. Upon checking on him and finding his body cold, she called 911.
Rich Homie Quan was later pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. No cause of death has been disclosed. Originally reports were flying that the father of five overdosed.
Rich Homie Quan’s family issued an official statement as they began planning a public service for him.
Corey Lamar, his father has announced that Rich Homie Quan's funeral will be open to the public. The initial plans for the service were intended to be private and brief. Mr Lamar, decided that all that supported his son deserved the opportunity to attend Rich Homie Quan's funeral services.
