Producer The Dream Hit with Rape and Sex Trafficking Allegations

In a California federal court today (Tuesday June 4) a lawsuit wa filed by a former protegee of Grammy winning The-Dream. The Dream faces horrific accusations, including rape, battery, and sex trafficking,

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chanaaz Mangroe alleges that producer promised to support her career but ultimately betrayed her.

The lawsuit contends that The-Dream tangled her in "an abusive, violent, and manipulative relationship characterized by physical assaults, violent sexual encounters, and severe psychological manipulation."

Furthermore, he purportedly vowed to finance and secure her visa, secure her an opening spot on Beyoncé's latest tour, and craft a series of "blockbuster songs" for her. Instead, he allegedly confined her to a hotel, required her to "check in" multiple times a day, and exercised complete control over her actions.

The Lawsuit details allegations dating back to 2015. From sexual crimes being committed in studio locations to being choked out are listed.

Chanaaz Mangroe and her legal team name Epic Record in the lawsuit along with The Dream. Stating the record labeled benefited from her abuse. Mangroe was signed to Contra and Epic Records, which owes corporate responsibilities to her.

The hit-maker for Beyonce and Rihanna has refuted the allegations made against him.
