Sean Kingston Hit With 10 Charges

Sean Kingston is now facing 10 charges in Broward County, Florida, according to an arrest warrant issued on May 20. The SWAT team stormed into his lavish South Florida estate and apprehended his mother, Janice Turner. Collectively, they stand accused of grand theft from a high-end car dealership and swindling a jeweler out of $480,000. Kingston also faces multiple charges of identity fraud, passing bad checks, and violating probation.

They are charged with grand theft involving a Cadillac Escalade, jewelry worth $480,000, and a custom bed valued at $86,568.33.

Kingston's additional charges relate to defrauding banks and writing fraudulent checks, one of which was nearly $45,000, as stated in the police report. He is also alleged to have violated probation stemming from a previous conviction for trafficking stolen property. The singer has a history of legal issues involving stolen or unpaid property, having been previously sued for a $1 million unpaid jewelry bill.

The circuit court judge set Kingston's bond at $140,000. Kingston, whose birth name is Kisean Anderson, allegedly orchestrated a fraudulent scheme involving grand theft and the unauthorized use of individuals' personal information to secure services. BSO also alleges that he violated his felony probation.

While his mother, Janice Turner, is looking at eight charges of her own. Her legal troubles trace back to 2006, when she admitted guilt to four counts of submitting false loan applications and one count of bank fraud, involving $132,000 in embezzled funds. Additionally, she is presently entangled in a civil lawsuit claiming $100,000 in overdue rent for a property distinct from the one subjected to the raid.

Bob Rosenblatt, is the Beautiful Girl hitmaker, Kingston's attorney, spoke to NBC News, stating that the singer would waive extradition. "We aim to bring him back promptly to demonstrate that this is solely a civil matter, not a criminal one," he added.
