Calvin LeBrun, recognized by his stage name Mister Cee, a prominent figure in the realms of DJing, record executive roles, and radio hosting, has passed away. Hip-hop media icons such as former MTV VJ Ed Lover has affirmed Cee's demise. The cause of death remains undisclosed at this time. Mister Cee, aged 57, leaves behind a significant legacy in the world of music.
Mister Cee, from Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, forged a close friendship with Big Daddy Kane during their high school years. He rose to prominence as Kane's DJ, prominently showcased on Kane's debut album "Long Live The Kane" released in 1988. Both artists were integral members of the Juice Crew, a revered hip-hop collective rooted in Queensbridge. Founded by DJ Mr. Magic, the Juice Crew included luminaries such as Marley Marl, MC Shan, Biz Markie, Masta Ace, Roxanne Shante, and Kool G Rap, among others.
