Pink Tape Goes Platinum

Lil Uzi Vert fans waited for three years for the release of Lil Uzi's third studio album. Uzi initially announced Pink Tape was in the works in 2020, the same year their last studio album Eternal Atake was released.

The rollout for Pink Tape started in December 2020, when Uzi gave a peek of the album on Instagram Live.

The album starts with a trap/rage vibe, "Flooded the Face" and "Suicide Doors". "Suicide Doors" follows behind, with range and club-inspired beats by composer Arca. Whom is an exceptional Venezuelan singer, producer, mixer, and composer.

Lil Uzi pulled in a few of his fellow comrades like Travis Scott and Nicki Minaj to name a few. "Aye" featuring Travis Scott. As one of the first songs that was teased from the album, "Aye" was already a fan favorite among Uzi and Travis fans before it released on Pink Tape last June.

Pink Tape also became the first rap album to hit No.1 on the Billboard 200 in 2023. Which ended the seven-month silence in Hip-Hop. The album had big wins with both singles released, "Just Wanna Rock" and "Endless Fashion" featuring Nicki Minaj.
