Back in 2021, NLE Choppa was arrested for burglary, drug possession, and carrying a concealed firearm.
There were three other men caught hopping a fence at a tow yard, and later pulled over by police. Officers found two loaded guns in the vehicle, along with a backpack storing marijuana and Xanax.
When speaking to officers at the time NLE Choppa reportedly admitted to the backpack being his. He was unaware of any firearms inside the backpack.
Following his arrest, the Memphis rapper denied any wrongdoing to his fans. He adamantly insisted that the authorities had framed him.
He tweeted on X, formerly known as Twitter explaining,... “During this arrest I was setup, substances were planted on me that I don’t consume/use/own, my name was lied upon, and I was even mistreated in the process… The case will be beat and I will walk a free man, remember it’s innocent until proven guilty not guilty until proven innocent…”
Today (Friday Dec 8) Broward Circuit Court Judge Barbara Duffy accepted a plea deal from the NLE Choppa. The deal is set where he’ll serve a year of probation, per the Miami Harold. NLE will still be able travel nationally and internationally through his probation and he also ordered to give up any guns and complete a firearm safety course while also tracking 40 hours of community service.
