Jada Pinkett- Smith Breaks Her Silence On Secret Marriage Separation

Jada Pinkett-Smith speaks on being separated from Will Smith since 2016. Jada set down for a NBC News prime-time special with Hoda Kotb, where she talks about revelations from her memoir; "Worthy". As the world is beginning to see over the last few years, Jada confirms their is more to her and Will's marriage that meets the eye.

Will and Jada married in 1997, 26 years of marriage, but Jada confirms she and Smith have lived completely separate lives. While the two are still legally married, Pinkett Smith explained to Kotb that she and Will are no longer romantically together.

"It was not a divorce on paper," Kotb made clear....."Right," Pinkett Smith responds."...but it was a divorce," Kotb continued."Divorce," Pinkett Smith emphasizes.

"We're still figuring it out," Jada said. "We've been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us."

The Hollywood couple share three children: son Jaden, daughter Willow, and Smith's son Trey -- whom Pinkett Smith calls her "bonus son" -- from his marriage to Sheree Zampino.

So about the Oscar slap...which resulted in Smith resigning from the academy and receiving a 10-year ban from the Oscars. Can you imagine all this unfold on your biggest award ceremony win; receiving the award for best actor that night -- resigning from the academy and receiving a 10-year ban from the Oscars. Pinkett Smith told People, "I thought, 'This is a skit.'"
