YSL RICO Update: Charges Dropped Against YSL Polo

YSL Polo an associate of the YSL label connected to Young Thug's RICO case in a separate murder trial was convicted last week. Legal name Cordarius Dorsey was found guilty of the murder of Xavier Turner in 2020. The actual shooting was caught on camera. YSL Polo has already been sentenced to life in prison in a separate murder, which he was apart of in 2019.

Charges have now been dropped according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, prosecutor Adriane Love revealed that the District Attorney’s office is no longer pursuing the two counts against Polo. He was charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and conspiracy to commit a crime in the 2022 indictment.

There were originally 28 people indicted. It is now just seven defendants left in the YSL RICO case. Several other cases have been severed in recent months, while numerous defendant including Gunna accepted plea deals. Gunna was released in December of last year while Young Thug remains behind bars.

YSL Polo previously made headlines earlier this month when the internet caught the court video of Polo acting crazy and Judge Glanville calling him out. This prompted Young Thug’s attorney to request his removal from the rest of the YSL RICO defendants.

With Polo possibly facing two life sentences without parole, Love decided to move forward in the YSL case without him “in the interest of judicial economy and efficiency.”.....“I’m a little disappointed that it took the state nine months to realize this is a major waste of taxpayer dollars,” said Polo’s attorney, Chadha Jimenez. “Mr. Dorsey should have never been part of this. He was already serving a life sentence without parole.”
