Thursday (Sep. 7) night at FedExForum in Memphis close to the stage gunfire broke out within 30 minutes of the show start at Lil Baby's concert. One person was injured and taken to the hospital. He is in critical condition. The show was immediately closed, and the stadium was evacuated.
Lil Baby broke his silence today with a Tweet. "Unfortunately I Couldn’t Perform Last Night In Memphis," he wrote. "Ima Make Sure Everybody Gets A Refund Tho."
The individual shot has taken to his social media to post updates on his health. From his hospital bed he asked app users to "pray for the opps 10x harder."
Whomever responsible for the shooting has not been captured and identity is unknown at this time. According the the Memphis Police Department the shooting inside of Lil Baby's concert at the FedExForum was premeditated and it was a target shooting.
Memphis rapper GloRilla was also scheduled to perform. She took to social media sharing her disappointment in her home city.
"Memphis is ghetto as f**k. We been on this tour this whole f***g time and today they want to f****** shoot. It ain't been a shootout at not a one of these shows...Man, this some ghetto s**t. it ain't even funny, for real.
