Rapper 50 Cent joined YG on stage on his Final Lap Tour Los Angeles. During the set 50 Cent's mic allegedly wasn't working. He asked for another mic which wasn't working so he asked for one more. In frustration after going through a few mics during a live show 50 threw the broken mic into the crowd.
What goes up must come down. The mic struk Los Angeles radio personality Bryhana Monegain in the face. Though it seemed to be an accident Monegain posted pictures to her instagram account of her receiving medical attention.
Mongain allegedly reported to police, 50 Cent looked directly at her right before throwing the mic. She believes 50 knew she was there when he hit her.
Law enforcement sources believe 50 Cent was throwing his microphone toward his crew in a production area backstage when it struck the victim, TMZ reports. Cops reportedly don’t believe 50 Cent intended to hurt Monegain.
“Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” attorney Scott Leemon said in a statement. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”
