Cardi B's $4M From Tasha K Might Pay Out Less

Tasha K. offers Cardi B $200,000k of the $4 million dollar lawsuit debt. Tasha K. filed bankruptcy earlier this year amongst her legal battle with New York rapper Cardi B.

Cardi B, who was awarded $1 million in general damages, $250k in medical expenses, $1.5 million in punitive damages, and another $1.3 million for her legal fees by a Georgia jury is ready to collect.

Cardi sued Tasha over a series of YouTube videos she posted accusing Cardi of using hard drugs, working as an escort, and having an STD. The Bodak Yellow rapper was not for the rumors and took matters into her own hands. Cardi claimed Tash's post caused emotional distress, issues in her marriage, and defamed her character.

Once hearing of Tasha's bankruptcy filing Cardi demanded that Tash's finances be examined.

Cardi was able to seize thousands before Tasha filed her bankruptcy, which put all of Cardi’s collection efforts on pause. Cardi's lawyers sent a series of subpoenas to Tasha’s bank and Google, which pays her advertisement money for her YouTube channel. Is the only way Cardi was able to collect the funds prior to Tasha filing bankruptcy.

To why Cardi is going so hard to collect her winnings from Tasha her lawyer explained, “Defendant was given multiple opportunities to retract the false and defamatory statements and videos, but Defendant steadfastly refused to do so.”...Tasha’s malicious actions led to the debt which they argued could not be wiped clean in Tasha’s Chapter 11.
