Lil Tay is not dead. The 14-year old viral internet personality says her instagram was hacked. A post announced her death on her instagram account; which has now been deleted.
The news of her fake death was announced in a statement posted on Lil Tay’s Instagram account, which described her passing as “sudden and tragic” as well as “entirely unexpected.
Lil Tay posted on her account that she was not dead and spoke with TMZ. She wanted to it clear that her and her brother are safe and alive but were completely heartbroken, and struggling to find the words to explain. She told the publication "It's been a very traumatizing 24 hours. She continued... "My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not ‘Claire Hope."
