Javonnta Murphy was found inside a barrel on a Malibu Beach over the weekend. Murphy is said to be the brother of Jaquan Murphy, one of the original suspects in Pop Smoke's murder. Though Jaquan was later cleared of the crime.
32 year old, Javonnta was found naked crammed inside a large drum last week. Officials, said he was "shot in the head". A maintenance worker spotted the barrel in the water and pulled it to shore. The barrel was not opened immediately. It is not known how long the body has been in the drum.

Police also arrested four other suspects at the time pertaining to the case. Jaquan Murphy, Corey Walker, Keandre Rodgers, amd two unnamed teenagers. All facing first-degree murder, and various charges. One of the teenagers plead guilty to home invasion, receiving a four year and two months sentence while the other teen admitted to first-degree murder.
