Future To Be Honored As The Trap Music Museum’s 2023 Trapper Of The Year

Future has been considered trap music royalty, influencing the culture for over a decade. Future is known for his mumble- style vocals. He is considered a pioneer of the use if auto-tune in modern trap music. The Atlanta rapper will be honored as the Trap Music Museum Trapper of the Year.

Born Nayvadius 'Future" Wilburn, will receive his special recognition from the Trap Music Museum on June 8. The winner is selected by majority vote by fans. The 39-year-old beat out Kodak Black, 21 Savage, and GloRilla for the honor.

Future has won numerous awards throughout his career, including two Grammys. His “Wait for U” single featuring Drake and Tems awarded the Best melodic Rap Performance Grammy Award. “Wait for U” on the 2022 album I Never Liked You debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 222,000 first-week units.  Along with GQ magazine branding Future the "Best Rapper Alive" in 2022.

According to XXL, Future will be given a custom-made “Trapper of the Year” ring, which was constructed by Ice Box Jewelry, and honored with an entire art exhibit in his honor at the museum. DJ Major Key will be holding down the music vibes.

Future is showing no signs of slowing down. The superstar is reportedly gearing up for a new project with Metro Boomin.
