Thirty years later, last February Snoop Dogg announced he obtained Death Row Records; the label that launched his iconic career. The Doggfather acquired the Death Row catalog, brand and its trademark, name and logo from MNRK Music Group.
The former record executive now convicted felon; Suge Knight is claiming Snoop Dogg and his lawyers committed fraud to legally obtain Death Row. Suge recently spoke with TMZ from prison claiming, he is Death Row. Knight says the deal was "illegal". The original owner, Michael "Harry-O" Harris committed bankruptcy fraud to get the company.
A lawyer failed to appear at a court hearing forfeiting the label; resulting in a default judgement. Death Row was transferred into the possession of MNRK. Suge explained he did not do anything wrong to lose his label. He stressed he settled the default judgement in the interview. Suge continued the conversation by stating they committed bankruptcy fraud when they filed for bankruptcy in 1995. They alleged it had nothing to do with Death Row.
Suge Knight is quite sure when it's all over 2Pac's All Eyes On Me and Makaveli will come back to him along with everything else. Suge is currently serving 28 years for manslaughter in California State Penitentiary.
