Tory Lanez Sentencing Delayed Again

Tory Lanez was convicted of three felonies following Megan Thee Stallion shooting. Grammy-winning artist, Megan Thee Stallion was shot in the foot in Los Angeles California in 2020. The trial process took 2 months with Megan and former best friend Kelsey Harris taking the stand. In December Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, guilty on assault with a semiautomatic handgun, having a loaded gun,and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

Judge David J. Herriford on Monday (April 10) delayed the hearing for Mr. Lanez's motion for a new trial. The new scheduled court date is set for April 17. This is not the first time the sentencing hearing has been delayed. The motion for a new trial was filed last month by Tory's legal team. Judge Herriford granted a continuance once defense attorneys wanted to add to their argument.

Tory Lanez faces up to 22 years in prison pending hearing. The Canadian artist has expressed remorse for being involved in the situation with the two females and hates the chain of events that has occurred.
