Pop Smoke Murder Suspect Sentenced

Bashar Barakah Jackson, known as Pop Smoke died February 19, 2020 at 20 years old. Los Angeles County D.A charged four teens with the murder of Pop Smoke, in February of 2020. two men were eighteen at the time the robbery took place the other two were fifteen and sixteen of age. Now 20-years-old suspects plead guilty and have been sentenced.

He admitted entering the Hollywood Hills mansion in 2020 with the intent to rob the up and rising rapper. Ultimately Pop Smoke was shot to death by multiple gun shots. Being the first of the four men charge to admit the fatal incident. His identity has not been released publicly but it is reported he plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter and home invasion robbery.

He was sentenced to four years and two months in a secure Youth Treatment Facility, but could be held until 25 years of age. The judge did not apply the two years and eight months he has served in juvenile already. Corey Walker will be facing the judge soon as well. Corey was nineteen at the time.

According to court documents, the 15-year-old pistol-whipped Pop Smoke and shot him multiple times in the back; before stealing his Rolex watch they later sold. While visiting Los Angeles Pop posted on insatgram him and his friend posted in front of the house he was renting. Unfortunetly the picture showed the house numbers where he was renting.

Pop also posted an Amiri gift bag, that had the address of the house as well.
