A$AP Rocky Ordered To Return To Court For 2021 Shooting

ASAP Rocky ordered to return to court for hearing. In June the judge will decide if Rocky will stand trial for allegedly shooting former friend, ASAP Relli. ASAP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is out on a $550,000 bond pleaded not guilty last year.

Rocky faces two charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. if convicted the charges carry four years in prison for each count. Judge Kerry White scheduled a preliminary hearing for June 5.

Rocky is expecting his second child with superstar singer, Rihanna. No comments have been made on the case by the couple. The situation went down in Hollywood in November of 2021. Where Rocky and his ex-friend and fellow rapper A$AP Relli, Terrell Ephron. The two men were arguing and Mayers pulled out a firearm and shot Terrell Ephron, hitting him in the hand.

Terrell filed a civil assault and battery lawsuit. LA DA George Gascon chose to push forward with the charges almost a year after the shooting, stating that after investigating the alleged shooting the charges were serious enough to press felony charges over misdemeanor.

'Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,' said Gascon after announcing the charges.

'My office conducted a thorough review not the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.'-Reported by DailyMail.
