Billboard double down on selecting the New York rapper as no. 1 by logging Jay-Z's impact on the culture, community, entrepreneur endeavors, along with his music career, and talented skills as a MC. Jay-Z has also helped develop careers of several superstar artist like, Rihanna and Kanye West.
Hov has received 24 Grammys and according to Billboard he has sold over 140 million records. With 14 albums that have been on Billboard's 200 chart at no.1.
