Today Tuesday (Feb. 7) the murder trial for the three men charged with the murder of XXX Tentacion begin. XXXTentacioon was on the rise as a rapper at 20 years old when he was murdered.
In 2018, Michael Boatwright Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams were charged with the robbery and murder of XXX. XXXTentacion who's government name was Joseha OnFroy, had just left Riva Motorsport in Fort Lauderdale, Fl when the four men acted on their robbery scheme. Blocking XXXTentacion with an SUV, 2 masked men jumped out to annd one shooting XXX.
Robert Allen, plead guilty to second-degree murder and is expected to testify against the other three men.
The men got away with $50,000 XXXTentacion had just withdrawn from the bank. They were apprehended by authorities within days of the crime.
Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome and Dedrick Williams have plead not guilty. If convicted they could face life sentences. Their lawyers presented opening arguments today. Boatwright's attorney denies he had any involvement in the crime.
Channel 6 reported, William's attorney said, “Arguably one of the most famous entertainers in the world is killed in Broward County. That’s where BSO was and all of sudden they need to figure this out quickly,".
The trial is scheduled until March. Updates will be maintained provided.
