T.I. admits to snitching to avoid jail time. In 2020 episode of expediTIously podcast T.I. spoke on snitching on his dead cousin to get out of illegal gun charges case.
Toots, T.I's cousin was killed before the two men could go to trial over gun charges. T.I. claims that the conversation he had with Toots blessed him to move forward and focus on his rap career.
“We caught those gun cases, Toot died. My lawyer said, ‘Well, you know, I could make everything go away if it was Toot’s, it was Tremel’s,’” he said. “After he had passed, I had a talk with him. Toot said, ‘I’ll take all the charges you got! If you can walk away free and put it on me, goddamn right! ‘Cause I’ll be damned if they gon’ come and muthaf#$king extradite me from here!’”
T.I. got a get out jail card on the gun charges. A year later T.I ended up behind bars serving time.
