As students were returning from a field trip at the University of Virginia; 3 students were shot and killed and a few other students injured by a student suspect. The ex-UVA football player took aim at the bus on the main campus in Charlottsville.
After locking down the school and an all day manhut the student suspect; Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. was detained. Jones was spotted by police over 80 miles away from Charlottsville in Henrico County.
There has not been a motive clarified to the reasoning of this horrific incident. Students killed were Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D'Sean Perry. The two wounded students are being treated at The University of Virginia Medical Center. Both students being treated are in critical condition.
