The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Selection Committee receives every year about 200 nominations. Anyone can make a nominee submittal; as long as the person listed is actively working in the entertainment. There is a $50,000 fee attached to each for the creation of the star and the maintenance of the walk of fame.
The submittal process for the Hollywood Walk of Fame still had Chris Brown take to his instagram @chrisbrownofficial and ask the question; "Have I done enough to earn a Hollywood Star?" Nominees must have five years of work experience in the industry and a history of charitable contributions. Chris has done that with no problem. Chris Brown has won many awards, topped plenty music charts, and has over 18 years of experience in the industry.
