The U.S. is not giving up on bringing Brittany Griner home. President Biden has approved a trade with Russia in exchange for the release of Brittany. The Biden administration deal includes Brittany Griner and Paul Whelem another American being held in Russia's prisons.
The administration's trade offer would be to exchange the two American's for Russia's known arms dealer, Viktor Bout. Griner has been in Russia prison since February. As we reported previously Brittany was traveling with prescribed marijuana; which is legal in the U.S. for pain management. President Biden and his administration are positive that the deal will go through.
