COVID-19 May Have Spread during the Big Game Weekend LIV in MIami says Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during a Tuesday press conference. Desantis thinks COVID-19 was likely spread at Super Bowl LIV back in early February.
The Governor's suspicion is based on the facts that southern Florida has been hit hardest by Coronavirus and since over 62,000 people were packed into Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. TMZ Sports points out that DeSantis is also the same Governor who refused a statewide lock down until earlier this week. DeSantis refused to close state beaches and allowed spring breakers to party up and down Florida’s coast despite advice from health officials.
