Brickell Is The Best In Miami

Niche, a website, which helps parents and students evaluate places to live and go to school, ranked Brickell the best place to live in Miami.

Brickell even beat out Pinecrest which landed at No. 2. The rest of the top 10 list is as follows: Edgewater; Coral Gables; Coconut Grove; the Omni neighborhood; Palmetto Bay; Grandview Heights, which is near West Palm Beach and absolutely nowhere near Miami; Key Biscayne; and Weston in Broward, which is absolutely nowhere near Miami.

A U.S. News & World Report study said that Florida is one of the best states in the U.S.

In the Overall Best States Rankings, Florida is at no. 10 out of 50, but the top spot goes to Washington and the worst is Louisiana.

The surveys asked almost 70,000 Americans how satisfied they were with state government services and where they thought resources should be focused. They used metrics, weighing health care, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunity, fiscal stability, crime and corrections and natural environment.

There is a mass move to Miami during the pandemic, which also helped with the numbers.

Byron Roth, chairperson and CEO of the California-based investment banking company Roth Capital Partners, and Jason Wright, partner at the New York-headquartered Apax Partners, bought houses in Miami Beach, continuing in the inbound migration of investors.

Roth bought the two-story waterfront home on La Gorce Island for $23 million. Wright bought a two-story, waterfront house in Sunset Islands for $18.5 million. The house has seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and one half bathroom.

80% of buyers are from across the Northeast, Chicago and San Francisco that are tax refugees.

The luxury market rebounded during late 2020, as employers and executives, have been leaving high-density cities with high taxes in favor of Florida’s weather and tax advantages.

The City of Miami Beach is hoping to appeal to its new residents by energizing developers.
