A one day event will be taking place in a Miami-Dade on Wednesday, as Florida sees a sharp decline in Johnson & Johnson Vaccines.
The state will only get 37,000 doses of the one-time vaccine, down from 313,000 provided. The state see an increase in the Pfizer vaccine, and Moderna doses will stay the same.
Miami-Dade County will hold the event at the Westland Gardens Park Banquet Facility located at 13501 Northwest 107th Avenue while supplies last.
A Florida ID or Florida driver’s license must be provided. Vaccinations will only be administered to individuals 18 years of age or older. A screening and consent form must be completed by all participants.

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced all county-run vaccination sites will offer shots to all school personnel, law enforcement and firefighters, regardless of their age.

“It’s critical that we distribute vaccines as efficiently as possible to protect all our educators and first responders,” she said in the tweet.
The change is especially important for police officers, as sworn officers must still be 50 or older to receive the vaccine at state-run vaccination sites.
Mayor Cava had to wait 90 days after she contracted coronavirus to get the shot, per CDC guidelines.
Vaccinations at the county-run vaccination sites are by appointment only.
Floridians age 60 and older are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccines. The vaccine is available to persons 60 years of age and older; health care personnel with direct patient contact; K-12 school employees 50 years of age and older; sworn law enforcement officers 50 years of age and older; firefighters 50 years of age and older; and people vulnerable to COVID-19 who have a doctor’s note.
The Department of Health “pre-registration” website can be found at myvaccine.fl.gov, as residents can be notified directly when appointments near them. Pharmacies in South Florida include CVS, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Walgreens and Walmart.

Walgreens: Walgreens is delivering vaccines in Florida, in four Palm Beach County locations. The signup will be at walgreens.com.
