Zoey Dollaz was shot after leaving a party in Miami Beach, on the Julia Tuttle Causeway.
Florida Highway Patrol are reporting that Dollaz was driving his black Mercedes sedan, when a silver SUV pulled alongside and someone fired multiple gunshots, hitting Zoey in the leg 5 times. A female passenger was also in the car but wasn't injured.
"The victim stated he was coming from a private party in Miami Beach but did not have any altercations prior to the shooting incident," FHP said in a statement.
Zoey was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Local hip-hop journalist Tony M. Centeno, heard from sources that the rapper was stable.
"My dawg @ZoeyDollaz is a true soulja," wrote Centeno. "I know he’ll pull through and recover quickly. Praying for him and his family. My sources say Zoey is doing fine after he was shot multiple times while on his way to Booby Trap in Miami last night."
