The hero father who took a bullet to protect his children during a firefight at a car dealership is out of 2 jobs and his kids are still in shock.
Anthony Jefferson is currently unable to walk after taking a bullet to the right thigh and due to his inability to walk he was fired from his 2 jobs as head painter at a maintenance company and as a construction worker in NYC. .
Anthony's been discharged, but still has the bullet lodged in his leg, and he'll need another surgery.
A friend of Anthony's set up a GoFundMe page and says the money will go toward Anthony's mounting medical bills and therapy for his kids.
The incident happened inside a car dealership on Boston Road, where three suspects exchanged gunfire with another individual, who was the intended target, inside of the dealership.
During the gunfire, Jefferson was struck in the right thigh while shielding his three children.
He was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition and the children did not sustain any injuries.
