Experts are now recommending that men should limit their alcohol consumption to one drink a day.
Dr. Timothy Naimi, an alcohol researcher at Boston University based his findings that there is a modest increase in risk of death based on people who have two drinks a day versus one. Dr. Naimi says that Americans generally drink way more than they are recommended to.
“As a nation, our collective health would be better if people generally drank less,” Naimi said.
Experts also state that if you don't already drink regularly, this advice should not be interpreted as saying that you must drink one alcoholic drink per day to be healthy.
