Tekashi 6ix9ine Reportedly Set To Be Released From Prison In August

Well… The block is about to get reaalllllllll hot because the currently incarcerated, Tekashi 6x9ine is set to be released from prison earlier than expected.

According to new reports, the rapper will be officially leaving prison this summer, more specifically with an August release date.

Tekashi’s legal representative, Lance Lazzaro, predicted that his client (real name: Daniel Hernandez) would finish completing his sentence around late July or early August. If you recall, the rapper was was sentenced back in December 2019 for crimes related to being a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang.

Per the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator, the Brooklyn native will be released on August 2, 2020. This public record was also backed up from the Bureau of Prisons’ Public Affairs department, who stated: “[W]e can confirm, Inmate Hernandez has a projected release date of August 2, 2020.”

He was initially facing 47 years to life in prison however, once he agreed to be a cooperating witness for the prosecutors in the case and testify against two of his former gang members, he was given only 24 months as a reward for helping courtesy of his testimony in court.

6ix9ine has already served 13 months and (as with many federal prisoners) only has to serve 85% of his remaining time.
