Trina and Yung Miami brought the Magic City to Sin City during their eye-popping performance at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards.
On Tuesday night, October 15, the Diamond Princess took the stage at Drai's Nightclub in Las Vegas. Trina kicked off her set with her notable single "Da Baddest B***h" and then segued into her 2002 banger "B R Right." She continued her medley with songs like "Look Back At It," "Pull Over" and her verse on Latto's "B***h From Da Souf (Remix)." Towards the end of her set, Trina performed her classic hit "Nann" and invited Caresha to deliver the Miami legend's iconic verse.
Yung Miami came out on stage in a black and silver sequin top with matching pants, gloves and a bandana. Her outfit was inspired by a look Trina previously wore during a nationally broadcast performance she did over a decade ago. Caresha also busted out a few moves while Trina rocked the mic.
Trina's performance at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards went down a week after she debuted her new memoir Da Baddest. The veteran rapper teamed up with author Sesali Bowen to tell her coming-of-age story about growing up in the Liberty City area of Miami with her mother and stepfather. According to publisher Simon & Schuster, the book, which features an introduction by her friend Missy Elliott, is an "evocative look into Trina’s upbringing and life as a rap icon proves why she is the blueprint, how she helped pave the way for the future of female rappers and hip-hop artists, and why no one but her can hold the title of 'The Baddest B***h.'"
Both Trina and Yung Miami had the club going up on a Tuesday just like the other memorable performers at the awards show. BossMan Dlow, Juicy J and 2 Chainz set the tone for the show by busting out their club hits followed by other artists like Big Boogie, GloRilla, E-40, and 310babii.
