Symba called out out J. Cole by name and accused the Dreamville rapper of bringing his whole squad down folowing his apology to Kendrick Lamar.
On Thursday night, April 11, the California native celebrated his birthday by dropping a fresh freestyle over the instrumental for Big Sean's iconic track "Control." He airs out his frustrations about the causes of Hip-Hop's alleged downfall from all the cap in music video to the barrage of disrespectful commentary rappers make in podcasts. Towards the end of his freestyle, Symba takes direct aim at J. Cole and claims he gave up his spot in the Big 3.

"The Big 3 f**ked up, Cole gave up his spot now/Can’t say you top five if you scared to be hostile," Symba spits. “I remember feeling your pain when you let Nas down, But you done let Bas down and Cozz down/You done let the squad down/Can’t say you the goat if you ain’t poppin ’em."
Symba echoes numerous artists and critics alike who feel as if J. Cole folded way too quickly in the civil war happening between him, Drake and Kendrick Lamar. After Kendrick Lamar challenged him and Drake on Future and Metro Boomin's "Like That," Hip-Hop fans were waiting on responses from the "First Person Shooter" duo. Cole was the first to directly address K. Dot on "7 Minute Drill" from his surprise album Might Delete Later, which dropped days before his set at Dreamville Fest.
During his set, Cole performed songs from the album like "Crocodile Tearz" and even brought out his Dreamville artists like Bas and Cozz out with him. Fans that expected him to perform his response to K. Dot live were disappointed when he said the song was the "lamest" and "goofiest" thing he'd ever done. He also issued a formal apology to Lamar on stage, which received plenty of backlash from fans on social media.
"We ain’t tryna hear all them apologies," Symba concluded. "Dot told you n****s that he usually homeboys with who he rhymin’ with/But this is Hip-Hop and you n****s should know what time it is.”
