Tory Lanez Says Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Was A Setup On New Diss Track

Tory Lanez is letting the music do the talking.

On Friday (September 25), Lanez broke his silence for the first time since he allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion in July. For his take on the events, the Canadian star decided to drop a new 17-track album, DAYSTAR, where he addresses the controversy at the top of the set. On "Money Over Fallouts," Lanez claims that he was setup. "Megan’s people tryna frame me for a shooting/ But them boys ain’t clean enough," he raps, before accusing the rapper of filing a false police report and alluding their romantic relations.

"Girl, you had the nerve to write that statement on the affidavit/ Knowin' I ain’t do it but I’m comin' at my truest/ Tryna keep this sh*t 200 with you,” he spit. “Don’t forget you was my b*tch/ I held it down and kept it real/ I would never paint no fake picture of you just for some mills."

Later on, he goes as far as questioning her claims that she was shot multiple times in her feet. "How the f**k you get shot in your foot? Don’t hit no bones and tendons/ How the f**k your team is tryna paint me as some whole menace?" he raps at one point. "I just lost like $10 million dollars because this cold business/ But I got like 10 million followers that gon’ roll with me/ Fans that support me 'cause they know my heart/ I don’t give a damn if shawty know Jigga."

Despite the claims in the song, Lanez did share remorse in leaked text messages from the night of the shooting. "I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart," he reportedly wrote to Stallion via TMZ, adding, "I was just too drunk."

While Meg was admitted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital for surgery to remove the bullets, Lanez was arrested and booked for possession of a concealed weapon. In late August, Stallion appeared frustrated with the gossip whispers surrounding the incident and came forward to name Lanez as the person who shot her. “Yes, this ni**a Tory shot me," she said on Instagram Live. "You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people to [talk to] these blogs, lying and sh*t. Stop lying!"
