Florida voters urged to get by-mail ballot for August Primary now.

Now is the time to request your absentee or vote-by-mail ballot for Florida's August primary. Florida League of Women President Patricia Brigham says we don't want a repeat in Florida of what happened this week during the primary in Wisconsin--

"We were concerned to see the lines around the polling places," Brigham said. "You know, they were out there in the midst of a pandemic, some wearing masks, some not, and not social distancing."

Brigham says ask for your ballot now. If this pandemic is still creating shelter-in-place situations-

"You can vote from the safety of your home once you receive the ballot."

Brigham says if the shelter-in-place order is lifted in August and your concerned about voting by mail- you can always put your ballot in the drop box at the early vote site.
